TNT delivers for GeoPost
TNT Express is to provide international collection and delivery services for GeoPost, the parcels business within France's La Poste group, using its air freight facilities to complement GeoPost's existing surface-based operations. The contract is valued at 120 million euros over five years. * GeoPost has been cited by some commentators as a possible suitor for TNT, now that the Dutch government has been forced by the EU to sell its residual stake in the business, which incorporates the Dutch postal service. Shorn of its logistics business, TNT is seen as a leaner and more digestible target.
