Tunstall switches to ByBox for critical parts delivery

Tunstall Group, which services healthcare equipment at private homes, has switched from an "in-boot" parts delivery system to the ByBox stock replenishment.

Tunstall specialises in "telecare" solutions, which enable individuals suffering a range of illnesses or disabilities to carry on living at home by managing the risks threatening their independence.

The company uses 160 engineers to service hundreds of thousands of pieces of equipment that are in operation in the UK at any one time.

It says it was attracted by the flexibility that ByBox was able to offer with its network of 14,000 drop-boxes at 750 locations, as well as the traceability of the distribution process. An added advantage is that ByBox works on a fixed-cost basis, giving uses full budgetary control.

The ByBox service guarantees deliveries by 8 am from Monday to Friday, and in also provides the means for engineers to return stock for re-work. This is said to have improved the company's stock management capability, whilst at the same time enhancing the service provides customers.
