Weeks takes over at Maginus

Maginus, the leading specialist in multi-channel retail and distribution solutions, has appointed Simon Weeks its chief executive.

He joins from K3 Business Technology Group, where he was managing director of the company's multi-channel retail and distribution business. K3 has recently repositioned itself in the market, and disposed of its Elucid multi-channel subsidiary, which it bought two years ago.

Weeks praises Maginus's customer base, technology and reputation for innovation, and singles out its new Maginus Storefront e-commerce solution as offering particular promise. Several new developments 'are also in the pipeline,' he says.

Weeks' arrival will be seen as compensating in some measure for the loss of Harry Manley, who was Maginus' commercial director for many years, but who has now left to pursue external interests.

Harold Levy, chairman and founder of Maginus, says Weeks 'has the experience and the vision we need to drive the next phase of Maginus' growth.'
